Renewing Five Year Local Option Tax for General Operating Fund
Question
Shall district renew $1.00 per $1000 of assessed value for general expenses for the Town of Lexington for five years beginning 2026-2027? This measure renews current local option taxes.
Summary
The amount of funds raised by this proposed levy for each of the next five fiscal years is estimated to be as follows: $13,890.00 in fiscal year 2026-2027; $14,135.00 in fiscal year 2027-2028; $14,380.00 in fiscal year 2028-2029; $14,630.00 in fiscal year 2029-2030; and $14,890.00 in fiscal year 2030-2031; for a total of $71,925.00.

Impose Five Year Local Option Tax for Fire Department Operating Fund.
Question
Shall district impose $1.50 per $1000 of assessed value for fire expenses for the Town of Lexington for five years beginning 2026-2027? This measure may cause property taxes to increase more than three percent.
Summary
The amount of funds raised by this proposed levy for each of the next five fiscal years is estimated to be as follows: $20,835.00 in fiscal year 2026-2027; $21,203.00 in fiscal year 2027-2028; $21,570.00 in fiscal year 2028-2029; $21,945.00 in fiscal year 2029-2030; and $22,335.00 in fiscal year 2030-2031; for a total of $107,888.00.
